PROPOSED CHANGES=
TO THE CLUB’S FINANCIAL AND RACING YEARS
The Club’s financial and official racing year presently run from =
1 October to 30 September, whereas the membership year runs from 1 January =
to 31 December.
To remove this anomaly your Committee has recommended bringing the fina=
ncial and racing years into line with the membership year after the end of =
the Club’s financial year on 30 September 2008, and to change the dat=
es for the annual social presentations and annual general meeting, and a mo=
tion to effect the changes to the Constitution to be put to the forthcoming=
AGM follows.
With these proposed changes, the 2009 financial and racing “years=
” would actually span 15 months.&nbs=
p; After this year’s annual social presentations and AGM to be=
held on 23 November 2008 and 24 November 2008 respectively, the next prese=
ntations and AGM wouldn’t be held until around February 2010.
This year’s championship racing events will all have been run by =
the time that you receive this newsletter. Events that would count towards =
the next championship awards would be basically the same as for 2008, excep=
t that, due to the period being 15 months, the championship events to be he=
ld in the last quarter of 2008 would actually be included twice in the next=
award series.
