Sports Centre at 1 Camfield Drive Burswood.
Medallions will be awarded to:
- First five males and females

Training and Race Advice
The WA Marathon Club has a training schedule for the race. It is available free
of charge by sending in a stamped self-address DL envelope. You should be able to
complete a half marathon provided you are able to run 10km fairly comfortably. From
this base you should, over a period of five weeks, be able to lift your training
to handle the extra distance. Provided you run within yourself and do not attempt
to go too fast, you should have a comfortable trip.
On the day of the race it is important to take adequate fluids both before and after
the race. Have an early breakfast three hours before the race but restrict yourself
to a maximum of two pieces of toast, a banana and a cup of tea or coffee.
Do not wear new shoes or clothes, as they will tend to cause blisters or chaffing.

or similar devices, are strictly forbidden due to the risk of injury to participants.
All runners will assemble in the cordoned off start area, await the official start,
proceed on foot on the approved course and obey Police and Officials’ directions
at all times. Failure to do so will result in disqualification.
To ensure your safety and that of everyone else in the race, the use of headphones
or any musical device is strongly discouraged. Any use of headphones is a safety
hazard since such use may compromise a participant’s ability to hear critical safety

There are no prizes for running prams and we request all those pushing running prams
not to be competitive, start from the rear and enjoy the experience. Pushing through
