This site provides tables of age-adjusted times for distances up to and including the marathon. It also provides comparative times for different distances (if you run a 10km at this pace then you should be able to run a marathon at this pace. Hundreds of different 'calculators' can be found here (for the obsessive). Anything from BMI to Pace Calculators, to age tables. Jeff Galloway offers a novel training programme. His long-run is slow and long (26 miles). He has had a lot of success in getting people through the US Marine Corp Marathon and eats his own dog food - his personal marathons (elite class) have improved because of the training regime. Cool Running Australia has started a Message Board and Wiki System for registered users (no cost). The Wiki allows users to maintain information about their own states' running. Give the Message Board a go here and the Wiki here. For those of you not familiar with a Wiki it is a web site where users can edit and add content via the web. I've made a start on the entry for WA - see if you can add to it. The Running University from Greg McMillan offers a calculator and training program for any distance. Enter your time for a particular distance and the calculator will give you training paces for various categories of training (long run, tempo, speed and sprint) and tell you how to apply them.
