This is the marathon club's first and oldest event.

The course is out and back, starting in Pine Terrace. Runners then run onto Owen Road and the abandoned railway (gravel), across a creek, up Mofflin Avenue (steep uphill), Ryecroft Road, left into Burkinshaw Drive (steep downhill), left into Tillbrook, right into Burkinshaw Road, right into Rialway Parade, around a dog-leg into Thomas Road (uphill and onto the turn. The homeward leg is just the reverse of the outward leg. The 8km course follows the half marathon course but turns around at 4km.

Please note that the finish will be in Pine Terrace this year, not on the oval. The turning point will be a little further away!
