With regards transport, drive your vehicle to the finish at Fred Jacoby Park, and then get on a fifty seater bus, which will leave there at 7.15am to take runners to the start in the Helena Valley. The course consists of 15kms of good dirt road and beautiful scenery, and no vehicles until the last kilometre which is all uphill on bitumen to the finish. The course crosses the Helena River four times. At the first crossing runners invariably get their feet wet on the sandy bottom, and the other crossings are over concrete culverts, although the river could be running over these if there has been enough rain just prior to the race. The course is well marked with lime.
